About this presentation
This deck introduces the Masoretes as the scribes who gave the Hebrew Bible its vowels, accents, and statistical safeguards. It traces the movement from the consonantal text of antiquity through the Tiberian schools of the early Middle Ages to the great codices, the Aleppo Codex and the Leningrad Codex, that still anchor modern critical editions such as BHS.
The slides are designed for classroom use, study groups, or personal reference. Each image preserves the blue-and-gold visual theme of this site, so the presentation can be projected or printed without clashing with the broader scholarly hub.
